It’s a fact of life! Every year Charlestonians must face August’s dreadful humidity. Some poor, unfortunate souls plan family reunions outside at Magnolia place in August, forcing us all to ask “Do we love Aunt Haddie-Boyd enough to stand in the heat?” It’s ALSO a fact, that every humid August, we are fortunate to have a concert from Charleston’s very own Hootie & the Blowfish!

Hootie’s Darius Rucker has been turning the world of Country Music upside down hanging out in Nashville and winning radio awards – so get excited to see him reunite with the Blowfish at the Family Circle Tennis Center in cool breeze at sunset. Here at Laura Albert’s, we’ve got you all set – we’re concert pre-gaming all afternoon with Highland Brewery! ‘Happy Hour’ discounts on craft beer, wine, and Hootie-tizers! We’ll be playing cornhole on our back patio and serving up pints of draft beer.

GROWLER hour–
At 4pm Highland Brewery reps Steve Schwartz & Chris Peters will be on hand to taste you through their offerings. Free glassware, and brewery schwag will be in great abundance. We will have two Highland brews on tap at our growler station and one brew on tap in our courtyard! Home-grown fresh local food specials as well as our regular Wednesday night dinner menu. Beer details coming soon.

Let’s face it, we all have enjoyed a Blue Moon. Some of us have had the priviledge of drinking a little brew called Allagash White. If you know anyone or are someone who falls into one of those two categories, you MUST, I repeat, MUST check out SOUTHAMPTON Double Wit
No kidding, folks – this brew is filthy. It’s good in the bottle and great on tap. Oh, guess what? It’ll be on tap this Wednesday at Laura Alberts! Southampton rep Tanya Mendleson will be in store talking up the double wit and other Southampton brews we’ll have flowing from our growler station. A good time will be had by all who attend. Bring your family, we’re serving up dinner until 9pm. Check out the menu. Tanya will be passing out Southampton brew schwag all evening.
